When it All Goes Wrong: Database Incident Response Dos and Don'ts by Christopher Travers When things go wrong with large, heavily loaded systems, it can take a significant amount of time to recover. For this reason, the same response patterns with other critical systems (nuclear power plants, jumbo jets) apply to disaster management here as well. This talk is a story of how we at Adjust managed one such disaster and what you can learn from it. The talk will also include what we learned from it as well. In this presentation, you will learn: Techniques and factors for disaster preparedness Communication strategies between responders for improving outcomes in emergency situations Communication strategies to other stakeholders during emergency situations Please note, this will draw parallels to airplane and other disasters.
