With the advent of the Knative serverless functionality, now available in OpenShift through an Operator, developers can now architect their applications in a much more atomic way, producing components that are only activated and executed, as Pods, on demand. This new approach needs a different way of thinking about how applications are created and deployed. This talk will explain the concepts, demonstrate them in action, and will show that atomic decomposition of components is now possible, leading to far more efficient use of server resources, much more agile but controlled distribution of application components and lots more fun when it comes to developing them.
