Everyone's making new IT platforms. As soon as one is completed, another platform is started. It's a sisyphean task. Neverending platforms. Everyone wants their own platform. Who are they for? Not for the end users, that's for sure. All too often, the platforms we build don't even help the developers who are making applications for users either. We need to get to the bottom of this platform nonsense and figure out who's interests we're really serving and why, and then ask ourselves if we're focusing on the right things.
