The .NET team has made great strides over the last few years around performance improvements. When you see some of the differences they've made, it's pretty impressive. But it also feels a little unattainable for us mere mortals. How do we apply some of what they've done to our "less-than-ideal" code? How do we know if our efforts actually make a difference? And how much time and energy do we need to invest to make a difference in the first place? We're going to find out! We'll grab some code from the internet. We'll explorer it together. We'll see what it's doing... and then we'll make some changes. We'll even see if we make things better or worse! Hopefully it'll be better, right?! This session is aimed at the everyday developer looking for techniques and approaches to make their pigs run faster.
