An odd couple’s journey towards SciArt: Design meets Science and vice-versa We have recently started a completely unplanned journey into SciArt. It started with a challenge by the DVS, it provided the perfect environment for a designer and an ecologist to start sharing knowledge and collaborating for fun in different projects. From that first collaboration, we have kept facing the challenge inside and outside work of raising emotions to drive positive social impact. Curiosity and knowledge sharing have driven this partnership. Our thirst to learn and discover in the most unexpected places has taken us, from creating a canvas with acrylics to highlight the loss of amphibians in the world to creating a 3D animation calling for rangeland’s protection. By sharing our journey we are looking forward to inspiring more people from any background looking at how their expertise can help the world to be a better place. We will show through our work how it is possible to go from a scientific paper to SciArt.
