#BlackInDataWeek: connecting and celebrating Black people in data fields One of the professional misconceptions includes that there's not much Black talent. Clearly wrong, BlackInData and BlackTIDES (Black in Technology, Informatics, Data, Epidemiology, and Social Sciences) both aim to create community, resources and opportunity for Black people in data fields. Starting with an international inaugural event, BlackInData and Black TIDES co-organised #BlackInDataWeek, where Black people in data gathered to learn, grow, and meet others.
